TO PREPARE:

Prepare to dazzle with our exquisitely styled and meticulously planned photo sessions, where inspiration transforms into breathtakingly beautiful images. Maternity photography captures the radiant glow and extraordinary emotions of pregnancy, creating timeless memories. Typically, these enchanting photos are best taken between 28 to 36 weeks, though if you're expecting twins, we can capture that magic a bit earlier.

BODY OIL:

Please DO NOT use any oil before the photoshoot

HANDS AND FEET:

Hands and feet often steal the spotlight in maternity photos, so treat yourself to a full-on pampering session: indulge in a mani-pedi before capturing those beautiful motherhood moments!

TO PREPARE: WAXING

Ready for your close-up? Depending on your outfit, those gorgeous legs might steal the spotlight! Whether you rock them all-natural or go for that smooth, waxed look, the most important thing is that you love how they feel. Confidence is the best accessory!

UNDERWEAR OPTIONS:

Choosing the right underwear for different outfits and dresses during a maternity photoshoot is important for both comfort and ensuring your outfit looks its best. Here’s a breakdown of the options and considerations:

  1. Nude Color Underwear: Nude-colored underwear is highly versatile and tends to be the best choice for various outfits. It blends well under dark, light, and even sheer fabrics, minimizing visibility and distractions. This is especially useful during a maternity photoshoot where you might wear different styles and colors of clothing.
  2. Strapless Bras: While strapless bras can be useful for specific outfits, such as off-shoulder dresses, many maternity bras are not designed as strapless. Instead of feeling obligated to bring strapless options, consider the flexibility of gently tucking bra straps to the side or editing them out after the photoshoot if necessary. This allows you to focus on comfort and support while still achieving the desired look.
  3. Comfort and Fit: Regardless of color or style, prioritize comfort and proper fit when choosing underwear and bras for your maternity photoshoot. Maternity bras are designed to provide additional support and accommodate changes in breast size during pregnancy, so choose ones that offer comfort and support without compromising on style.

What is a bola pregnancy necklace?

A bola pregnancy necklace, also known as a harmony ball or angel caller, is a piece of jewelry traditionally worn by pregnant women. It typically consists of a pendant that contains a small chime or bell inside. The necklace is designed to create a soft, soothing sound with movement, believed to have a calming effect on both the mother and the unborn baby.

When worn during pregnancy, the bola necklace hangs low on the belly, where the gentle chiming sound is thought to be heard by the baby in the womb. It's a symbol of maternal bonding and is often worn as a reminder of the baby's presence and the special connection between mother and child.

In the context of photography, including a bola pregnancy necklace in maternity portraits adds a meaningful touch. The necklace becomes not just a piece of jewelry, but a symbol of the journey into motherhood. The soft chime captured in a still photograph can evoke a sense of peace and serenity, enhancing the emotional depth of the image.

Photographing a pregnant woman with her bola necklace can indeed make the portrait more unique and personal. It celebrates the beauty of pregnancy and the anticipation of new life, capturing a moment in time that is cherished by many mothers-to-be.

Overall, the bola pregnancy necklace is not only a beautiful accessory but also a sentimental keepsake that holds deep meaning for expectant mothers.

Session Guide & Tips

Your 7-Step Guide to an Amazing Studio and/or Session!

Getting ready for your portrait session at Moments by B in Ocala, Florida; should be fun and stress-free! To help you prepare and get the most out of your experience, I created this simple guide with tips to make sure your session runs smoothly and captures the best version of you!

Step 1: Plan Your Outfit

If you are not wearing one of my dresses, keep in mind that what you wear sets the tone for your photos! I recommend picking an outfit that’s comfortable, flattering, and suits your style. Solid colors or subtle patterns work best to keep the focus on you. If you are using more than one outfit, don't forget to bring nude and black undergarments. And don’t forget backup undergarments—better safe than sorry!

Step 2: Get Plenty of Rest

Catch those Zzz’s! A good night’s sleep will have you looking fresh, energized, and camera-ready for your session.

Step 3: Hydrate and Nourish

Drink plenty of water and enjoy a nutritious meal before your shoot. Staying hydrated gives your skin a natural glow, and healthy food will keep your energy up so you can shine in front of the camera.

Step 4: Makeup & Finishing Touches

Please come with your hair and make-up ready

Finishing touches make a big difference! Even if you prefer a natural look, a little makeup helps smooth out skin tone and reduce shine when the lights are on you. A light layer of foundation or powder can go a long way. Men can also benefit from facial powder to keep oily skin in check. Before your session, remove anything that isn’t essential to the image—jewelry, watches, or even phones in your pockets. Clean, well-groomed nails (painted or natural) are a must!

Step 5: Communicate with Your Photographer

Your session is all about you, so let’s chat! Share any ideas, concerns, or inspiration images with me beforehand. Clear communication helps us create a session that you'll love and makes sure you’re comfortable from start to finish.

Step 6: Trust the Process

Relax, have fun, and let me work my magic! all you do is enjoy every moment of the experience.

Step 7: Music

Do you have a playlist? Share it with me and I'll have it playing for your arrival and during the photo session.

Choosing the Perfect Backdrop

White, Black, or Gray? Let’s Find the One That Suits Your Style!

The backdrop sets the scene for your session, so let's pick one that suits your vibe:

  • White: Clean, fresh, and timeless, a white backdrop keeps the focus on you. Perfect for a soft, airy look or when you want vibrant colors and details to pop.
  • Black: Add depth, drama, and elegance to your portraits. It creates stunning contrast, making colors and textures stand out for a bold, captivating image.
  • Gray: The best of both worlds! Neutral, versatile, and adaptable to different moods, a gray backdrop enhances your features without overpowering the shot.

Experiment, have fun, and let's create stunning photos that showcase you at your best!
